Marisol Contreras was a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and a graduate research assistant in the Syed Mubeen Research Group. Her interests were in combating climate change and mitigating environmental damage. She conducted techno-economic analyses on emerging technologies related to chemical synthesis, energy conversion, and energy storage. The analyses she performed served to identify a system's key parameters that must be optimized to advance their profitability and viability.
