Marco Nino is a graduate research assistant in the BioMOST Lab and the Syed Mubeen Research Group. Nino is a PhD student in biomedical engineering, and his research interests include finite element analysis, fluid-structure interaction, multi-physics simulation, and medical device design. Nino is looking to develop a novel electrochemical catheter that uses principles in chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering to measure physiological flow rates inside the body with improved accuracy and precision. 

Nino has completed a BSE in biomedical engineering and a minor in mathematics at the University of Iowa.
